About Us

The Bowie Reading and Learning Center first began from a desire to specifically address the issues of reading that were holding many students back. 

The Bowie Center has now reached way beyond our initial reading support focus to now include a full day school. Each of our day school students has specific needs that we address, and so we engage those who learn best through individual and/or small group instruction. Our students go through a complete academic program including all core subjects plus electives. Some classes may be one-to-one and others may be small groups of 3-4, depending on the need of the student. We hire great teachers who believe in the Bowie philosophy that all students are individuals with the ability to achieve great things. At The Bowie Center, we focus on the whole child, building confidence as we strengthen both academic and social skills.

In 2007, we became AdvancED accredited and are extremely proud to be part of this organization. AdvanedED holds all of its members accountable to excellence in education and we are proud to be part of such a mission.

The Bowie Center is an extremely happy environment and we truly care about each one of our students. When they reach their goals we
celebrate throughout the center! We have the greatest job in the world.
